Vastu Shastra is the traditional Indian system of architecture and space arrangement, broadly comparable in purpose to Feng Shui, that offers guidance on orienting and arranging a home or workspace to support harmony and wellbeing. Vastu pyramids, yantras, and geopathic stress rods are tools commonly used within this tradition to address specific directional or energetic concerns in a space.

A yantra is a geometric diagram — often centred on a specific deity or intention (e.g., Sri Yantra for prosperity) — used as a focal point for meditation or placed in a home/business for its traditional symbolic significance. Feng Shui items, drawn from Chinese tradition, serve a parallel purpose using different symbols (such as the Wu Lou, Laughing Buddha, or Bagua mirror).

As with crystal healing, these are traditional and symbolic practices passed down through generations rather than empirically tested systems, and are typically chosen based on personal or family tradition, an astrologer/vastu consultant's recommendation, or simple resonance with the underlying symbolism.
