Gemtre is a brand of Sun Sea Gems, serving customers from Karol Bagh, New Delhi — one of the country’s most established markets for gemstones and jewelry — with certified natural gemstones, Rudraksha, crystals, and astrological jewelry since 1984. Four decades of trust have been built one customer, one consultation, and one certified stone at a time.
Our Founders
Sanjeev Garg— Founder, Gemologist & Astrologer — is a 1982 graduate of Hans Raj College, Delhi University, who trained in gemology in Toronto before completing his certification at IGI New Delhi in 1984. He began operations in the gems and jewelry trade under the name Sun Sea in 1985, studied Jyotish (Vedic astrology) at BVB, New Delhi in 1990, and founded the GemTre collection in 2018 to bring together gemstones, crystals, and holistic wellness products like eco-friendly hawan cups and essential oils.
Saurav Garg— CEO & Founder of Sun Sea Gems & GemTre — is a graduate and MBA from Delhi University and a Diamond Graduate from GIA, having trained in diamonds, gems, and jewelry across Delhi, Surat, Mumbai, and London. He opened his own venture in the family business in 2005 and, in 2019, began developing Gemtre’s holistic product lines alongside a museum of crystals and gems at Karol Bagh.
What We Stand For
Our commitment is to authenticity: every gemstone we recommend is chosen with the same care an astrologer would bring to a birth chart reading, and certification from recognised gemological labs is central to how we build trust with buyers who often cannot verify a stone’s origin or treatment themselves. We believe a gemstone purchase should never be a leap of faith — it should be backed by evidence.
Four Decades in Karol Bagh
Karol Bagh has long been a hub for jewelry and gemstone trade in Delhi, and Gemtre has grown alongside it — from a single storefront serving local customers to a catalog that now reaches customers across India online. Through that growth, the same principle has held: gemstones, Rudraksha, and astrological jewelry should be genuine, correctly represented, and chosen with the buyer’s specific needs in mind, not sold as one-size-fits-all merchandise.
